August brings us a Liberty Cream Ale from Midwest Supply. It is currently in the secondary fermentation stage and is going to be bottled this week. It is a fairly simple recipe with malt extract, cascade hops and a small secret ingredient that only those who try will find out. A free trial to anyone who refers me a customer. Happy hunting.
Sorry I cant shed any more light on that one. It would be very tough to find a certified kosher for Passover Wine Yeast on the public market. You can try to contact the supervising agency on a specific yeast. Danstar makes a lot of wine yeasts, see if they can give you any insight. I think they are supervised by the Star-K out of Baltimore, MD.
I was wondering if all beer kits on midwest supplies are kosher or is there a list that shows which are good? Working on my first batch of beer so I'm a newbie....
Sorry for the late reply. I believe that almost all of the midwest kits are kosher. They build all of their kits with Breiss extracts and mainly Breiss grains (although the grains themselves really dont need a hashgacha/certification). Sometimes they will have extra ingredients in some kits (e.g. orange peel, etc) which may require additional investigation. As an alternative, you can always discard the additives and find them locally or use your own, orange peels for example.
I am not involved in sales of any type. You should be able to find many of the kosher yeasts I have written about online. They will probably cost more to find and/or ship to Israel, but I am pretty sure that you should be able to find them.
